Handmade Glass Bracelet Beads!

Finally some news! I've been back in the studio full time now work is finished...I'm very excited to be doing a home 'Bead' party this week for 15 people. The focus is the Broadway Bracelet so I have been very busy making a variety of bracelet beads. So much colour and fun!!!!

I've finally managed to get this bead out of my head and into the real world! Inspired by my August 2010 trip to Newfoundland (yeah Denise!) it was a long time coming. Sand, rock and water on the surface but make sure you look a little deeper...

Broadway Bracelet...

At Beads on Broadway we have restocked our bracelet beads just in time for Valentine's Day or for a mid-winter treat for yourself! This is a set of beads I made up to coordinate with my new Buff (versatile neck/head cover). These Pandora-style beads are just $15 at Dragonfly and each bead is unique! Wow...What a wonderful year 2010 was!!!

After an enjoyable break for the Christmas holidays I'm back at the torch. Thankfully I can still make beads after a fall off my treadmill (yes I know it was very stupid) and since it's pretty much all I can do besides sit at the computer I'm busy restocking after a wonderful year at DRAGONFLY. Last week was pink week...Beads on Broadway is all decorated up for Valentine's Day and even though I'm not a pink fan at's very refreshing on a dull winter's day to walk into the studio to a blast of pink and red hearts!!!

This week is turqoise week...my favourite!

RED is coming!!!

I was finally forced to sit down and come up with a red bead and guess what? It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be! I had a request for a set of salad servers to go with a 'Coke' theme and this is one of the beads that I liked. I made a load of them on Friday, cleaned them during the hockey game last night and will create all kinds of wonderful things with them today. Tuesday morning when Dragonfly opens they will be there for all to see. Quite a contrast to all of the other colours in the studio!

And speaking of salad servers two sets sold on Friday so yesterday I focused on making salad server beads and I hope to be able to make up four new and different sets for the store...seems like it might be a good idea for Christmas!
